And that's speaking as someone who was in game for the first Wintersday finale but didn't know where they were giving away hats.

I'd love nothing more than to get my hands on a 1st generation santa hat, but it would completely invalidate the point of hats in the first place: to show that you were there. I wasn't there, so no hat for me.

Who's asking for handouts? They asked for a quest to be able to earn it. How did the other people earn it? By being indoors on a holiday and playing GW instead of being out with friends? I would love to get the dragon mask, and some of the other masks that i have seen from past events that i wasnt part of cause i couldnt get there or didnt play at that time or whatever the case. eather way i apreciate those that wear them. and im satisfied for the fact i cant achieve that

i missed out on a few..yawn...so what! there are plenty of other hats to choose from...they are not a ground breaking item in the game.

i dont actually believe it is necessary to say people in this forum dont want you to have these hats...but rather Anet doesnt want you to have them...otherwise they would of done it by now.
